The State of Salesforce is a proprietary thought-leadership program revolving around how the best companies use Salesforce. All the research, data analysis, writing and design traditionally were handled entirely in-house.

2019-2020 was my inaugural report.

To compliment the printed report we created a digital benchmarking experience. Users answer questions from the survey and their responses are compared against the aggregate to reveal custom results with best next steps to further their personal Salesforce journey.

As soon as we realized that we revisited last year’s key trends to trace how they’ve evolved or shifted in response to the pandemic. Research for the report included a targeted quantitative survey, along with 15 qualitative C-suite interviews across 5 key industries.

The process of reconsidering (and gaining alignment) on how The State of Salesforce should show up in this time of crisis was as an effort that took almost as much effort as the writing, design and production of the report itself.
